Reviews the ugly truth
When it comes to choosing a swimming pool company, reviews play a crucial role in helping potential customers make informed decisions. However, the reliability and accuracy of these reviews can often be called into question.
It is not uncommon to see a mix of good and bad reviews for swimming pool companies, with some customers praising the company for their excellent service and high-quality work, while others criticize them for poor communication or subpar workmanship. One of the main reasons for this inconsistency in writing a review is the subjective nature of opinions. What one customer may consider to be excellent service, another may perceive as inadequate. Furthermore, some reviews may be biased or even fabricated. This manipulation of reviews can create an unfair portrayal of a company’s true capabilities.
We actually had a client in November 2023. Long story short when we first went out and met him he appeared to be such a polite man with good manners etc…Seemed to good to be true and even after we completed the job we were told our work was terrible, everyone else said it was perfect and great, but we took it and left it as that. Turns out months later he was spending most of his spare time trying to sabotage our business doing stupid things like writing and changing reviews so it always appears first on the list, Reporting our phone number not working so google takes it off just really childish things. I still contacted him asking him to please take it off even after reporting it to google as it was actually against the law when he mentioned my name directly. You could hear he was getting some sort of kick out of this, I told him your review is costing me business and I at the time was about to lose one of our vehicles due to this as business just died and he said to me ” I hope you lose everything ” Yes I lost the vehicle and plenty of business but you know what I always look at life in a good way because a person who grew up spoiled with fancy cars, and all the money in the world could never actually ever know how a normal persons life feels like, myself I grew up with nothing so losing something hurts but you recover from it quick, get up and try again and again. Let it happen to them they will almost always end up killing themselves because not having all the luxuries causes them to lose their heads and values.
I will always remember the one thing which he said to me which will never make any sense what so ever and that was ” In my line of work I ensure my customers are always happy and looked after Unlike you!” Now first off a person who works on Christmas Eve to ensure you have a pool ready when you come back from holiday is like not even heard of these days. I still remember sitting alone listening to his neighbours celebrate while I watched his pool fill till 11pm at night then came back at 7am the next morning to continue. We worked the entire December with no breaks what so ever but I neglect my clients?
It never made sense to me because in his line of work getting people addicted to gambling is not keeping them happy its keeping yourself happy and filling your pockets off someone elses addiction am I right or wrong? Because 70% of people who gamble usually end up destroying their lives, homes and families so how is that keeping your clients happy? I tell you one thing id much rather be told my work is shit than watch someone elses life go to the dogs while I rake in the money and watch you fall to pieces but thats just me.
In light of these challenges, it is important for consumers to take what people write with a grain of salt and consider the overall reputation of a company. Looking at a company’s track record, certifications, and customer testimonials can provide a more accurate picture of their performance.
Ultimately, while good and bad reviews for swimming pool companies may be inevitable, it is essential for consumers to approach them with caution and discernment. By considering multiple sources of information and conducting thorough research, customers can make more informed decisions when choosing a swimming pool company.
