Has your pool gone green?

Pool gone green?

This is probably the most common issue amongst pool owners, and regardless of who you are or where you live this can happen any time.

Understanding why your pool has turned green and understanding what to do in a situation like this is key

Now some people say its the reflection of the trees, others may claim its the weather that causes it but the real reason behind this problem is due to lack of cleaning your pool. For instance have you ever see a flowing river turn green? No and why you may ask? It is simple moving water is constantly producing oxygen that is why you will always see small bubbles in the water, now the more oxygen = clearer water and the same applies to a swimming pool. The more you brush your pool the more oxygen you putting into the water, however one cannot constantly brush a pool and that is why on the days the water does stand still we have chemicals and timers to maintain and keep your water circulating to prevent it from going green.

Another thing to also remember for those of you who think covering it will prevent it from turning green, this is just a bad idea especially if you have chemicals in as the humidity will pretty much boil the chemicals causing it to evaporate and unbalance your PH levels so quick that it literally will go from blue to green over night on a hot day.
