Chemical Lock

A chemical lock is when you add chemicals to your pool and absolutely nothing happens. You then keep adding more and more in hopes that it will turn color but it never does. So what is actually happening is the pool is over stabilized so no chemical can penetrate the barrier which the chemicals have created in the pool causing what we call “a chemical lock”

There are 2 solutions to fix this they are

1. Drain the pool halfway then top it up with ordinary tap water
2. Use a very good algaecide this method has never failed us and has always worked wonders in the worst of pools we have attended to.
